Family and Children's Services, based in Elizabeth, is a 132-year-old non-profit mental health and social services agency. Licensed by the NJ Department of Health, we provide mental health counseling, Intensive In Community (IIC) therapy, and case management services.
FACS is an affiliate of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network, and each of our licensed clinicians has completed training in at least one evidence-based trauma therapy, including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC) or Trauma Affect Regulation Guide to Education and Therapy (TARGET).
FACS also offers parenting and assertive communication (anger management) group classes.
Services are provided in our two locations in Elizabeth, as well as through telehealth services. We accept Medicaid, Horizon BCBS and offer a sliding scale fee schedule for low-income uninsured clients.
