Jewish Family Services of Middlesex County (JFS) is a nonprofit human services agency whose mission, rooted in Jewish values, is to provide essential programs and services to help individuals and families improve their lives.
JFS offers a variety of social services for individuals and families of all religions, ethnicities, and backgrounds. We strive to empower people at home, in the workplace, and in the community through a holistic array of programs, which aim to promote wellness and self-sufficiency.
Immigration & Citizenship Services
- DOJ Accredited program
- Application assistance for green cards, family visa petitions, work authorizations, citizenship, and more
- Free citizenship classes with certified ESL teachers
Career Center
- Individualized counseling for job seekers of all backgrounds
- Help with resume/cover letter writing, networking strategies, and job searching
Women's Center
Coaching and career counseling for displaced homemakers - women who are separated, divorced, single moms, widowed, or living with a disabled partner
Senior Services
- Holocaust survivor services
- Kosher Meals on Wheels
- Congregate meal programs (kosher) - limited transportation is available
- Senior Medicare Patrol of NJ
- State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP)
- Outreach services - assistance to seniors in finding and applying to public programs
Counseling Services
- Behavioral health therapy
- Clinical counseling for individuals, couples, and families
- Bereavement support groups
Food Pantry
- Free for all Middlesex County residents of all backgrounds
- Kosher, shelf-stable food items
- Toiletries and baby supplies
- Seasonal programs provide supplies for Passover, back to school, and winter holidays
Volunteer Opportunities
- Deliver meals on wheels
- Transport Holocaust survivors to socialization program
- Organize a food drive
- Participate in a community food distribution (Spanish speaking helpful)
Eligibility | Appointments should be made for food pantries and must be Middlesex County resident. Congregate meal program for Middlesex County residents. |
