Mercer Counseling Services

Mercer Counseling Services provides in-person and teletherapy to Adolescents and Young Adults with depression, anxiety, and/or chronic illness.

Feelings and symptoms of anxiety and depression are very common in a lot of us. The problem is when they become debilitating, affecting your everyday life, whether that's in the classroom, workplace, in relationships, or at home. If you are struggling to enjoy your day-to-day life, you are not alone, and you don’t have to suffer from these feelings anymore.

  • Feelings of sadness, anxiety, or feeling lost in the world
  • Difficulty transitioning to a new stage of life such as college, adulthood, motherhood etc.
  • School/peer problems (friendship troubles, perfectionism, issues with teachers, etc.)
  • Difficulty with the college application process and transition to school
  • Relationship issues (social, familial, or romantic)
  • Increased mental health problems due to a specific event 
  • Mental health treatment for those with a diagnosis of a chronic illness or their family members (e.g., cystic fibrosis, cancer, diabetes, organ failure, etc.)
  • Discussing fears of death 
  • Medical phobias and/or medical treatment adherence 
  • Assisting with advance care planning and completing advance directives
Eligibility Ages 6-40 (approximately); must reside in New Jersey or Pennsylvania; Out of network insurance benefits/private pay only
