We find ourselves placed in a unique time and place, so I am sharing the vision that will rally the Perth Amboy Corps around the following mission: Our Mission is to entrench ourselves in the unique position God has given us in Perth Amboy as a springboard for proclaiming the gospel, a hub for building a vibrant and welcoming Christian community, and a frontline for serving people in need.

Emergency Seasonal Shelter
As cold weather approaches, The Salvation Army opens its Emergency Men's shelter that runs through the month of April. With a capacity of 25 men, this shelter program offers home-cooked meals and a warm and safe place to stay, supervised by trained and licensed professionals.
Care House Shelter
Transitional Shelter for Homeless Men
Care House is a state-of-the-art facility offering 24-hour supervision, meals, case management, and advocacy for homeless men. There are five transitional units offering semi-private accommodations and room for ten men in a dormitory-style area. Working with the Veterans Administration, eleven beds have been reserved for homeless veterans.
As a transitional shelter, clients making progress towards independence and self-sufficiency are moved into semi-private rooms to further promote independent living. Shelter clients will find help in locating permanent housing, learn money management skills, and receive ongoing follow-up support and guidance for at least three months after leaving the facility.
